i've heard when trying to save a torch, hammer, or any other branching coral where one or more branches have died, that if you turn i upside down they'll come back...is this true, and has anyone every had positive results?
I have heard that too but I don't think it will work

I bought this little frogspawn nearly dead (only one short polyp extending out, the rest was brown with algae) from the LFS, and over 2 months it has recovered very nicely! For me, it's all about good water quality, and something that meets its needs.
Although, putting it upside down wouldn't suddenly make it spring alive, but it will usually make the corals tentacles extend much more to reach out and get the lighting.

Forgot this. I know this isn't a lot, but it has come quite a far way from where it was

Of course, when it is upside down, doesn't this just cancel out seeing that it is no longer under the light but rather partially blocked by the skeleton?

Nice polyp PH. How is it going these days?? It would be great to see an updated pic of that frogspawn. I am quite interested in getting one of those. :)

Doing the same. Not much happens (with one exeption ) with growth in only 4 days :) Although it's still doing good, and holding in strong. I like them, esspecielly the green ones :)
