FO cleanup crew

i went to my LFS today and was going to get a few hermit crabs. when i saw how much they were and how big they were i was kind of turned off by it. I ended up getting 1 hermit crab and 1 snail (about 1 inch in diameter) the snail seems to do a pretty good job cleaning the glass but the hermit crab seems to small even to make the slightest difference. I dont really want to spend 15 bucks on 10 dumb little hermit crabes because they are 1.50 at my LFS. Is there anything i can get that is more for your dollar? im looking for mostly something to clean the substrate (crushed coral)

i would go to www.liveaquaria.com they have alot of good things like hermits turbos and nassarius snails and stars. normally if you buy so many you will get a discount. i would get alot of things that eat detritus such as nassarius snails and stars to keep down the waste creating more cleaning and ammonia in the tank. i would get a few turbo snail for the algea. the snails are 1.99 a piece unless you buy more than 12(thats when the discounts start :lol: ) ans hermits are 99 cents a piece untill ya get up to 12. stars vary depending on the kind ya get.
