You should drip as much water as you loose in a day of evperation. And do this everyday.
This is off Kent Marines website for the aquadose
One drip every forty three seconds will deliver about two hundred milliliters per day(50 drips=5ml)

Here's one of my favorite ways to drip kalk for less money...
All you need is a 2.5 gal Rubbermaid gas can (or any size) and an IV dripper

i dose as pictured above, only i use a 1 gallon jug...drip (ultr-slow) about 1 drip every 45 sec.
mix rate should be no more than 2 teaspoons per one gallon of R/O water.
absolute best way to mix/dose would be with a medical systalic pump like this...http://reef-aquarium.com/images/pumps/flexi.jpg

the dosing pump is only half of it. You still need away to mix the kalk and control it. I use a Kalk reactor, along with a Liter meter (dosing pump) contolled by a Sipedone float switch.
I have my top-off setup to where I don't have to touch a thing except for adding kalk to the reactor every 2-3 weeks and replacing RO\DI membranes\cartridges as needed.
The key to a top-off system is making it fool proof. It took a while and about 500.00 but Its adding kalk every 9 minutes as needed and its fool proof.

In the European reef keeping community, almost everyone uses a calcium reactor (single stage) and a kalkwasser reactor. The kalkwasser reactor utilizes fresh water to help maintain a constant salinity as well while dosing kalkwasser on a regular basis. A great system. Manufactured by Aqua Medic and available everywhere, including www.customaquatic.com

Let me remind you that those gas cans are not sterile! They contain chemicals which can leach into the liquid in them. They are designed for holding gas...not for holding drinking water or "sensitive tank water or supplements"!
You might as well be using a trash can (Which is a MASSIVE NO-NO!) :?
