Cabbage leather question

i just got this cabbage leather about 4 days ago. So far one leaf at a time is getting a glossy look to it and then the next day sheds off a film. is this a problem or normal?

It's normal, just give it good water flow. Sinularias do this on a regular basis.

I agree. Leather will continuelly shed this waxy coat, so high water movement must be provided so the coral doesn't chock itself to death with the film.
