hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a stoplight parrotfish (or spotlight parrot as they are sometimes called) for sale in a LFS...or better yet does anyone have one in their tank. I am really interested in this species and I would love to hear any input on it. I currently have a pygmy parrotfish (sometimes called a palenose parrotfish, scarus psittacus) and he is doing great. They are supposed to get only about 8-10 inches long and are a great addition to a tank...always out in front, avid eaters swimming around with a lot of personality. My point in writing this post, however, is I would love to hear about other aquarists experiences with parrotfish. good or bad. Thanks!

We have them in the waters here down in South Florida. And if you intend on getting one I hope you have a HUGE tank. I personally have seen them in excess of 2 feet and they eat mass amounts of coral and live rock.
