help! i cant figure this out!

OK,
Anyone that has kept track would know that I am getting everything together for my new reef.

My RO unit arrived the other day. Today I had a plumber hook it up in my basement.....here in lies my problem.

This RO unit came with a small holding tank (I think 4 1/2 gallons) this tank is pressurized.

The directions say that I have to fill the tank up, drain it out (it says not to use the first tank full as it might have some impurities(sp?) in it)

OK......after two hours the tank finally fills up, I open my float valve, the water pressure is great, BUT ONLY FOR ABOUT 1 GALLON. then there is hardly any pressure at all.

At the rate this is going it will take me one week to fill my tank.....(really, I did the math)

Water pressure is not the problem, coming from my main line the pressure is strong. There is also a "waste" valve that the water flows out really strong from.

Any pointers? I was going to make a trip to the LFS to pick up my live rock tomorrow, but I might not have the water then..... Any suggestions would help

Check the specs on the unit. Thay may be all it is rated for. If not contact the manufacturer and have them help you trouble shoot it.

The RO unit is rated at 100 GPD. I did call, and they helped me out. The water flow is working good now.

I was really worried because i was picking up my 150 pounds of LR today.

I now have it, and It is in my tank. I will post pictures later!
