I just snapped a few pics of my mandarin, it was pretty cool he was poking his head out of the top of the tank, i tried to get a shot of it but these were the best i could get before the batteries died

Actually i was playing with a new type of bulb for moonlights and i think he wanted a closer look, he's really friendly, and it was the best addition to the tank that i've ever made, people are drawn to him as soon as they see the tank

I've got terrible news, tubbs ( the mandarin ) was sucked up my zoomed powersweep today, damn those things, taking the life of my prized fish, they're nothing but trouble :( :(

Yeah i know, my gf was really upset because she had bought it for me, man, i can't believe something so stupid would be the cause of my first real fish loss ( besides DOA )

sorry to hear about your fish, an unfortunate testament to foam prefilters...

Your ZooMed powerhead should have come with a clear plastic tube with holes drilled through it and a sponge.. I just use the tub and leave the sponge off. Its small enough to keep most fish from getting sucked in and large enough that it will not trap debris.. Use it and see what you think. Works for me. I'm sorry to hear about the cute little mandarin.

I'll give that a try

Joey you say this happened to youres as well, i was worried that maybe the CBS killed him and he floated into it, but seeing as to how the powerhead is at the top of the tank i didn't think it was likely, but if it happened to youres then that must be what happened ( just exploring the powerhead )
