Looks like a good start. I assume your still cycling and letting your rock cure since you didn't state how long it has been running or give any test results.

Only thing that I see is that if those are tiny little bubbles shooting out of your return line I would check the seals in your plumbing. Those little bubbles can make your fish very sick, kinda the equivelant of a diver coming up too fast and getting air bubbles in the blood.

thanx. its almost done cycleing(ammonia 0. nitrite about .5ppm and just ordered a new nitrate test kit).. I turened the bubbles on my powerhead up bcause the o2 in the water was real low because I had no skimmer running due to meds in the tank. its off now though :D

Turning the bubbles up on your powerhead will do next to nothing for O2 levels in your tank. The best thing for oxygenating your water is surface agitation, simply aim the powerhead so that it makes waves on the surface of your water. Hope this helps you out a little.

Bill is absoulutely correct, it is more important to move surface water where the greatest oxygen exchange occurs.
