Make sure you have the picture(s) saved in Your Documents, or any other file that can be acessed. Once in there, make sure you save it as a JPG/JPEG file.

Go to the board, click 'start a new thread' or 'Post Reply.' Type in your message. There will be a space that says this:

If you click on Add an Attachment, you will see the box for adding Attachments.
If you click on Posted Attachments, you will see a list of already attached Files and you are able to edit them.
If you want to Replace (Upload new Version) an Attachment, you have to click both links. Add the Attachment as you normally would do, thereafter don't click on Add Attachment, rather click on Upload New Version at the Attachment Entry you intend to update.

Click 'Add an Attachment.'

You will see the browse button, and the file comment (optional). Click browse, and file the file you want. Don't type in lets say 'DSC00029.jpg,' but rather the whole code. Once you have typed in the file, click 'Submit/Preview.' It might take a bit to go through, but be patient. Your picture should come up. I don't recommend any files larger than 640x450, for loading issues and slower computers.

You have to resize them in a Graphic Editing Program (Adobe, MGI PhotoSuite, etc.), and then post them here. I like to keep all my pictures at 640x480

Paul,
if you decide to use the [IMG] tags you must have the picture already saved on the internet. If you choose to upload it from your computer, do the following:
Make sure you have the picture(s) saved in Your Documents, or any other file that can be acessed. Once in there, make sure you save it as a JPG/JPEG file.

Go to the board, click 'start a new thread' or 'Post Reply.' Type in your message. There will be a space that says this:

I've tried to make that my profile image but it keeps showing up "x" out or with my basic server image. I've even sized it down below 6kb. What's the deal. Do I just need another dose of Starbucks?

it would help to first optimize the images in a photo editor, i.e. photoshop, corel draw, MS paint, etc. i prefer photoshop. photoshop elements 4.0 (http://www.viosoftware.com/*Adobe+Macromedia+Misc/Photoshop+Elements+4.0+OEM.html?utm_source=nextag&utm_medium=mall&utm_campaign=29230255) (click) is affordable, and handy. they carry it everywhere...target, costco, wal-mart, best buy, etc.

create an account on http://www.reeflounge.net/gallery, and then link here by using bbc (bulletin board code) [img] tags

There are two ways to attach pictures. You can post the picture on an internet file sharing website, like photobucket, and then link to that page by clicking on the insert image icon with the mountain and yellow sky. The second way is to attach a thumbnail. First click on the "New reply" box rather than typing in the quick reply box. Click on the attachments icon, it looks like a notebook page with a blue letter T at the top. You are limited on file size when uploading attachments, so you'll first need to shrink the image to less than 150 kb with photo editing software. You can do this with Microsoft paint if you don't have a photo editing program.

To add a picture by your user name, go to "User CP", and then click on "Edit Avatar".
