Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and the world of saltwater tanks. I've kept a brackish tank for almost a year now and I have recently converted it ot a SW tank. It's 55 gallons. Right now here's my equiptment:
1 Skilter power filter/protien skimmer
4 Marineland bio-wheel filters
1 300 watt Marineland heater
1 Marineland 150gph pump
I also have 5.5 lbs of live rock, white sanb and crushed coral for a 2 inch bed and 3 plastic plants. Salanity- 1.025

In two days I'll be driving 1 hour away to get my fish. I'll be getting a Web Burr Puffer (Web Burrfish) and a Dwarf Lion fish. How does this sound. I would also like to know if I could get some clowns, damsels or any other small fish like that to fill the scene with color. Also, any tips on keeping my fish stress-free during the 1 hour trip. And is there anyway to prevent a sting from a dwarf lionfish? Thanks!

You will have to train your lion to eat dried or frozen food. Also don't add any shrimp or crabs or they will become food for the lion and puffer. The lion will also eat any fish small enough to eat that you will add so make sure if you add damsels or clowns they are decent sized.

A 1 hour trip shouldn't hurt them at all.

Oh and welcome to the forum

Thanks You!
If I decide to get clowns, how many should I get? And what species? Or could I get a Regal or Yellow Tang? What species of Damsels do you recomend? Thanks!!

first of all you want to add the fish slowly, i would go with either clarkii clowns or maroon clowns. you should only do a pair. i would also only do one tang.

The puffer will more than likely outgrow that tank fairly quickly, I would not put any tank in there with those other fish. It will be way too cramped. As far as small fish just be carefull they arent so small that the lion can eat them.
