I have had some mail order live rock curing in a rubber mate bin for about a week or so now. just wondering if the patches of green on the live rock was coralline algae that has dead or not. If so will it come back after i place it in my tank under the right water and lighting cond.

thanks :?:

Corraline can grow in many interesting shapes and colors. I've seen some green, purple, red, blue, black (rare), maroon, orange, creamish, and so on. Corralline can also grow in many interesting shapes, such as this unusual incrusting plating form:

I would say it's most likely corraline algae. I have a bunch of green corraline growing on the front of the tank.

But as always, a picture is worth a thousand words
