Ok....What type of digital camera does everyone have and why? Do you like it, and most important, How much did it cost.

I am researching right now. I have a $200 gift card to best buy and I dont really want to contribute much more than $100 myself. Any suggestions?

I just got the Sony Dscf707 5.0Mega Pixle for Christmas, works great! Although I do have to work on getting the pics not so blurry. I've seen some outstanding pictures from that camera clear as can be!

the camera seems great so far. easy to use and takes good pictures. The total with taxes, a 64mb memory stick and the warranty was a litte over $400.

I am a sucker for the warranty since I have used those several times with other electonical purchases. I also had a $200 gift card so that helped.

I got a nikon 4500. I love it.

For taking digital shots of your tanks look for a camera with a good macro shot captability. This will alow you to focus in on object that are close to the lens. Some digi cams have a long focal lengh of maybe 12" or longer thus you have to say at least a foot away from the subject your trying to photograph.

The 4500 for example has a focal lengh of .3" i think. Thus you can get right up to what your trying to take a pic of.
