I will be getting a float switch for my aquarium. This question is this:
Can I put it in the Eco System? When the water level of the main tank goes down, does the level in the Eco system automaticlly go down too?
Do float switches come with some sort of pump to get the water into the tank, or do you have to work with gravity?
Thanks :)

Yes you can put a float switch in an Eco System Sump.
First off the water level should not change in the main tank if its has overflows. The water level would change in the sump.
Most do not come with pumps.
here are two

What type of pump do I hook up to it? I have never even seen one, so I dont know how they work.
Do I run a pump from a resevoir of fresh RO water to the float switch?
Does anybody have a picture of how one works?
Thanks Iris!

You can use a std power head. I won the auction for the Reef fanatic level controller that irisservice speaks of, and would highly reccomend it. very easy to set up
