you feed clams anything?

CAPTAIN PETE
12-26-2002, 11:07 PM
The smaller clams I'll take out and feed Dt's periodically, no set schedule. The bigger ones I don't feed. Whatever they pull out of the water column is what they get. They seem to be doing well like this. They do suck down a lot of calcium though.

CAPTAIN PETE

Marine Technical Concepts Pro Cal reactor with koralith media. Calcium is around 430 and alk is about 9.0

Zack

how much those cost?

CAPTAIN PETE

They have several for sale. The one I have was pretty expensive. Check out www.marinetechnical.com . I never had any problems with Ca or alk and its rate for a 750 tank. Just in case I want to upgrade I don't have to worry about a bigger reactor.
