wow, that is nice, it look's like it is almost square, has a lot of depth. i saw a guy in oregon that was building a reef store, sadly he went bankrupt before he opened. he wanted everything set up perfect before he sold. it took him 2 years, and he had spen to much, mainly on this reeftank which was 10' long 10' wide, and 4 feet deep. it was and awesome tank with 3,000 lbs of live rock. the tank was over 8,000 gallon's

the guy up above, i dont know him just found this stuff through other people, and figured i would share it with ya, he is Japanese, thats all i know, it was a thread comparing Japanese tanks and American tank setups, and comparing the diffrence, i would have to say that the top pic is unbeliveable, and that third pic i posted, DAMN coul you have anything else in there!! and look at all those damned lights! looks like a stage setup

greg you should go into real business and take me with you lol!

Wow, those are really some nice tank setups. I'm thinking serious cash flow here.. hehe Quite impressive on the inner workings of the tank.. Even looks like a "Kent" ad..

TheDogofWar
02-05-2004, 09:13 PM
Those are all japanese tanks, one of them is like cpfarms or something. I found quite a bit about it today.

Kent advertisement, thats exactly what I was thinking! :)

You should see the lighting on these things. A huge portion of the color spectrum is being used, everything from 6500-20k I believe. and lots of it, I have a couple pics of the lighting too, I'll post up tomorrow.

Hey Guys,

That first tank image is breath taking. I did a google image search on the name of the .jpg and I found the website responsible. They have other amazing tanks to match. Check it out!!!

cpfarm.com (http://www.cpfarm.com/fotogarally/g_aqua.html)

cpfarm.com Photo Contest (http://www.cpfarm.com/foto_contest.html)

Amazing, thanks Uber for inspiring me by digging up that picture,

The first tank is the best I have ever seen! We spent so much money on a reef tank, why should we accept anything less? Does anyone know where I can find other beautiful tanks like that? I am trying to gather as many pictures as possible so I got more idea on how to make my tank look better. The cpfram link that was posted is in Japanese so I can read the text, is there a English version of it?

Thanks!

Hi has anyone checked out www.seavisions.com? I want the one that is the top left :D

Save your money, then.

It's nice. I like a tank that can be viewed from all sides. There is a tank in the Gatlinburg, TN aquarium (it's in the little kids area, actually) that you can actually climb up and look in from a bubble in the middle. It's almost donut shaped. That would be cool, cool, cool.

Naturalsettings
02-16-2004, 03:24 PM
Kung did you see where they had to cut a hole in the roof just to get that aquarium in? Totally unbelievable I guess I'll just have to dream at least that doesn't cost anything

For that kind of money, why not just make a little house down in the great barrier reef?

I don't think luck has much to do with it. All it would take is MONEY!...Great big piles of money!

Naturalsettings

Well in my case it would take allot of luck to get that kind of money to set up that type of tank :D

it wouldnt work in america. we have too many power outtages here. every time the power went out, you would have to reboot the system. and california would sue you for using up all their power

joanadam

Those look just like my tank. ...Take away the expensive equipment...expensive corals...throw in some unwanted algae growth...throw in some cheaper corals... a dead coral skeleton or two :P $20,000+ later...

joanadam

Carnation Coral aka cauliflower. One of the hardest soft corals to keep.

Bald Eagle

all that equipment and for what????? i bet each peace does very little and seeing the quality of some of the reefers tanks on this forum the majority of that seems unessasery. it all looks great and could be achived easily with a big fat bank balance. in my oppinoin its a bit OTT and i wouldnt start thinking your missing things, you just need to compare the budget on theres to yours and youll see theres not much in it for the money. im not saying i wouldnt like that stuff but for me its not gonna happen

how many gallons is the tank in the first pic? I just bought a new 90 gal i've only got a few fish tha will be makin the move into the new tank 2 percs 2 bangaiis and a pygmy angel. i've recently been introduced to japanese style aqua scaping and i love it. So i was thinking that along with the fish i have i would add a kole tang (just to keep algea down) and a school of either yellow reef chromis or blue green chromis my question is with the fish that i already have, how large of a school of chromis can i keep?

Bald Eagle
12-19-2004, 10:31 PM
