I am researching setting up a 220 FOWLR with live sand  . I was told that THE most important investment is getting a high end protien skimmer like the Aqua C EV 240 skimmer. What do you guys think?

Thanks

I agree that and lighting...

That skimmer is very good.
Are you planing on running it in sump?
What are your pump plans?

I was planning on running it in a sump. If I can fit it in, what do you think of me using a 90 gall. tank I already own? Too big? It can not be drilled in for stuff in the sides if that is important.

I was looking at an Iwaki 40RLXT or a Quiet One 5000.

Thanks. All input is appreciated. :)

I assumed that I could use just one for both. I am in the very early planning stages. I sent away for a couple of books so hopefully my questions won't seem so basic in the future. What do you think of the sump idea?

Thanks

Well if you plan on using it for both then think LARGER......

Not really because of it depth....
