ok.........so I am a long ways from adding fish but I can't help but start planning things out! I have never kept real fish before but I have done reptiles and freshwater fish for a while. I have a 125 gallon aquarium and I am wanting to do a fowlr set up. I am wanting to do more aggressive fish. I am completely new at this so if some of the stuff I say sounds stupid its because I am. The list I have conjured up so far is:

a picasso trigger
a Koran Angel
a Purple Tang
a porcupine puffer
a pair of tomato clowns
and a zebra moray (or some sort of mild mannored eel)
and a partridge in a pear tree

Questions I have are:

How likely is it that these fish will get along?
Will the clowns be dinner?
Are these fish completely impossible to find?
Am I shoving too many creatures into the tank?
Are these fish overly difficult for a beginner to maintain?

I know with reptiles that the compatibility issues mainly only arose when food was scarce. I kept completely uncompatible lizards together and had no problems as long as they had plenty of room and plenty of food. Are fish similar?

Any suggestions are welcome.......thanks in advance

If you dont add themall at once they will fight for teritory (not saying they wont any way)But if you cant I would chang the rock work around when you add fish so they can all find new homes

They do not look totaly incompatible. Just make sure you try to size them about the same. this means you will need to find some biger clowns. I would go with all small fish and let them grow together. I would also add the less agressive fish first and them move up. This way the more agressive fish will not atack new fish when added. Only problems with your list I see is.

Puffer can be have Ich problems.
Purple tang is expensive and not sure how it will do with others.
make sure you have hiding places for the eel.

Thanks for the input. Any other tang that would be a better match? I don't mind expensive as long as I dont kill it. How hard is ich to get rid of in a fish only tank? pretty easy? I will have plenty of hiding places for the eel. I can add the fish in any order. I was thinking I would do the clowns first in case the tank is not quite right so I loose the cheap fish instead of expensive ones.

thanks again
