Lighting: Metal halides are best but are very expensive! So check out 2 110 watt VHOs or a 260 watt Aqualight either of those will cost up to $230.

Filtration: There are many different types refugiums, skimmers, wet dry, and canisters. For cheapness a Bak pak 2 it has bio filtration and is an awesome skimmer. Also You will need anywhere frome 45 pounds-110 pounds of live rock. On the internet it usually costs around $3 a pound with shipping. Sand 40 pounds is ok but if you want a DSB you will want about 80 pounds.

Ro/Di: Check out www.drsfostersmith.com they hav a nice selection of them for anywhere frome $80-$400.

Powerheads: You will want three I suggest getting all the same kind for looks. Three Maxi-Jet 900s they pump out 230 GPH. You wan tyou water turned over atleast 10X per hour.

Timers: They are cheap around $8 a piece from a local store like Meijers, K mart, or Target.

Clean up crew: Go to www.saltwaterfish.com and if you spen $75 you get free shipping.

I hope this helps.
