Not to shabby. Not to great.

But its my first saltwater tank started 2 years ago almost exactly.

I need to get a few more snails as the back has some algae on it. Almost the entire left side glass is coraline covered.

Inhabtants are as follows:

1 Maroon clown
2 fireshrimp
Handfull of hermits and snails

Not to many corals. But I will be adding some more as spring comes along. TO cold to ship stuff and since I dont have a decent LFS around that sells anything other than fish or anenomies I dont really have a decent local source.

More pics can be seen http://www.vafishfreek.com/gallery/20_Gal_Reef

Cool tank :)

What would you do to get the coraline off the left side?

well if I wanted to remove it I would use a razor blade. Or some other sharp edge.

The reason its there is because i like it covered. The front would be like that also unless I scrapped it weekly.

the reason I ask is that my nano is starting to form some of the coraline algae on the glass and wanted to know how to remove it without damaging the glass.

also is coraline a sign of a healthy tank or are some things that cause it bad for the tank?

That's a neat little tank fishfreek :-D Good work on it! The coralline algae on the left side of the glass looks nice there, it's always better than seeing the wall behind it :)

Thanks. I need a few more snails to rid the back glass of the algae that is growing there.

On a side note I think the rock that has the yellow polyps on it also has a small bit of grape calupera (sp?) growing on it.
