Ive got these little creatures all in my tank. They are maybe a quarter of an inch long, Purple with a red dot on their backside. They are kinda oval in shape with a small tail. Im not sure if it is a small breed of nudibranch or what. It appears to eat algae. There has been none around my corals. They like to stick on the glass and rocks. A big thank you to the person who knows what they are.

A picture is worth a thousand words

I think a pic would help greatly with this one.

FWIW,
Check out this link http://www.ReefLounge.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=224 and see if it's already listed there :)

flatworms are another thing that have a bad rap...i'll admit it i have some in my tank......but there's nothing wrong with that. the problem most people have is that they flourish, almost in plague porportions, and hence...are undisireable.

in my opinion they're kinda cool to watch "hover" around the tank...and then when they get off the LR and fall to the sand, they wriggle back and forth...i dunno...kinda neat!

while i couldn't find a picture of the species that i have in my tank...it's close to looking like this...http://www.rzuser.uni-heidelberg.de/~bu6/f0129.jpg...though the species have have has very distinctive characteristics, in that they have split almost swallow-like tails. very light purple, and transparent.

more can be seen here...probably the most comprehensive flatworm site i've ever found!!! http://privat.schlund.de/w/wseifarth/index.html
