Great looking tank :)
That is a big jump from 30 gal to 180 gallons :) what is making you go to such a big tank.
You are building the stand and canopy?
are you getting glass or acrylic?

matrixnyc, thanks for the compliment this tank is proof you don't need all of the top of the line, most expensive equipment to be successful.
I have been reefing since 1985, my first tank was a 29gal. I got a 75gal. when I got out of the service. Sold it later on and set-up the 30 which used to be a Cichlid tank. It has always been a dream to have large tank. I have a friend that owns an LFS and Maintenance company and he found this 180 with alot of accessories so I bought it but the stand was in horrible shape. So yes my brother and I are in the process of building a stand and canopy for the tank. The tank is a reef ready Oceanic 72x24x24. I plan to post the progress of the new tank as it comes along.

That's a very nice tank Marco!! Everything look extremely beautiful and healthy, esspecielly that Xenia :)
Great work! You should really think about adding your tank to the 'tank of the month' contest. See the 'Tank of the month' forum for more details :)

Nice tank. How do you keep the glass so clean?
That Xenia is huge , ever though about fraging it ?

Very cool, natural looking tank. Looks like you scooped up a piece of the ocean and set it in your tank. I'd be intrested to see how your fuge is arranged. I am setting one up now and was intrested in seeing how others have theirs' landscaped.

Thanks for the kind words.
rocket_155, I scrape the glass alot. I think the Xenia is out of control and and I will be getting rid of some of it when I move everything to the 180. My wife really likes it and she doesn't want me to remove any of it. Do you want some? You can have as much as you want.
Blodlizrd, I can take some pics of it tonight if you want, but trust me it is nothing fancy. I just took a 10gal. glass aquarium and sectioned it off with some glass pieces I had cut at Home Depot and siliconed them in. The first section where the water comes in from the tank is where the skimmer sits. The water falls over into the next section which is the refugium w/ 4in. of Southdown, Culerpa and a Mangrove. The water falls over the last glass divivder to where the return pump and some pieces of live rock sit. Works pretty well actually. I just have 2x9w and 2x13w PCs that are on reverse cycle than the tank lights. The Mangrove has actually outgrown the space under the tank.HTH

Nice to hear of someone else that supports Seaclone skimmers. Some times i think they got a bad rap just because there affordable. Mine pulls out tons of waste.
