I am curious as to ways u wash your sand before u put it in the tank? I just used a small bucket and washed it in the tub, but it doesnt seem to get it all clean, i put it in the tank and it still clouds it up. I was thinking of adding some to my tank but I dont want to cloud it all up that bad.

When dry sand is used, it's almost impossible to get it completely cleaned, and you will almost always have a bit of cloudiness when you add sand to a tank. So we all have to take it with a grain of salt I guess. I usually just place the sand in a bowl, and rinse it in small potions at a time, adding a little at a time, and the water only seems to stay cloudy for an hour, or two. It also depends on the type of sand used. The smaller the particle size, the cloudier the tank for awhile.
