liverocks.com - the stuff is awesome. Came next day by 12:00pm stuff crawling all over it. Did I say this stuff is awesome? My six year old and I spent hours just trying to save the creatures that were stuck to the bag.
This rock is fully "cured" - it comes from the ocean and is shipped in water so its alive when it arrives.
We had crabs, corals, feathers, worms and stars on the rocks. And lots of the purple stuff.
And Mike@liverocks.com is very helpful and attentive. He even tries to fill requests.
Price was 4.50 lb shipped door to door.
I will definetly buy from him again.

looks alot like TBS LR, which I was very impressed with. It helped me get though the cycle because I didn't feel rushed to add any livestock because I was content just watching what appeared and changed on the LR!
LFS has TBS LR but wants $12 lb

It's a waste of money buying TBS liverock from any LFS, as they all charge you about 2-3 x what you would pay rather than ordering directly form TBS. And When you order from TBS, you can get exactly the size and shape rock that you want, and you'll save a boat load of money, even with the freight charges. :D

you're right it is similar to tbs but there's no "package" requirement to get the best price and I found Mike at LR.com to be helpful, interested, and eager to please. All in all a great experience.

tdreefer,
Your so right about Liverocks.com. Mike is a terrific guy. The rock was EVERYTHING that was stated from others and the website.
I still find stuff I have no idea what it is!
Just last night..I saw a white nudibranch crawling across some rock. It disappeared down the back of the tank. I've had my rock for about a week.
I have seen crabs, snails, worms, feather dusters, mantis shrimp, oysters, clams, sponges, etc. My favorite critters are the sea squirts.
I will order from liverocks.com again. That's for sure.

if it is in the ocean then it is free game isnt it? i know if a ship sink's it is first come first serverd. should be the same way with rock. you probably need a collector's liscense though

Actually, stealing life from the oceans in FLA is mostly illegal- but I don't live in tampa either. Aside from the legal concerns, I find the price of the rock and shipping to be more economical than the flight :D
Also, Like I said Mike is Tops. And the critters just keep on coming (some good some bad. Word to the wise, always quarantine anything new you are adding to your show tank.)
