I use the nikon 4500.
It has a great macro feature.
Here are two closeup shots I took recently.

Are the nikon 4500 and 5700 Digital cameras?
I have the Nikon 995 coolpix and it does a great job also.

Yes the 4500 is a digital camera. It is the replacment for the 995. It has the same body style as the 995 with most of the same features with some additional features added.

hopefully, i'll be getting a nikon D100 soon...i'm torn between a full feature digital SLR, or the prosumer fuji S602...both have huge Mp count...but i'm leaning towards a full-fledged digital SLR. photography is another of my hobbies, i currently have about 100 prints framed all around the house. ideally i'd love to have a studio someday... 8) :)
