What should I put in my 5gal. refugium?

Here is what I was thinking about putting in my 5gal. refugium for my 55gal. display (40gal. sump):

10lbs. LS
2lbs. LR
Caulerpa (if I can ever find any)

Is there anything I'm forgetting?

I have yet to set this 55 up yet, it's still just for FW.
But I am going to use a 43gal. rubbermaid for a sump, 5gal. rubbermaid for refuge, and I am going to have a hole drilled to fit a 1" PVC bulkhead for the drain. Then I will T off the return line to feed the refuge. My pump for the return is still undecided. I have to return the water to the display tank a distance of about 4' so I am leaning toward a Mag-Drive 9.5 pump which at that length will pump around 800gph. But a Mag 7 will pump at 480gph at 4'. I think the 1" bulkhead drain will flow at a rate of about 700gph but not sure, I'm still researching that.

Does anybody know for sure what the gph flow rate is on a 1" drain?

Good question, first they are much CHEAPER and are lighter weight. They also provide stronger holds as to where galss can crack and such. Many people have been using them in the hundreds like a guy has a 400 gallon one WOW! IMO a better idea!

You do the math.
Besides it's for sump purposes which in my case nobody will ever see. If I had money to throw away I would definitly get the glass aquarium.
It's your tank, it's your choice.......I choose cheap.
