I was wondering if a Valentini Puffer would be ok in a 30 gallon FOWLR tank. I have 40 lbs of live rock, and 60 lbs of live sand. I really like the fish and wouldn't mind losing a couple feather dusters over it. I also wanted to get a scooter blenny, after my tank has been running for at least 6 or 8 months. Would they get along? I know blennies are pretty peaceful. Anyways, any feedback would be great, thanks.

ALLRIGHT :P
the Valantini is such a wonderful little fish.
I have one, and is my favorite.
He is so personable. I just recently added live rock to my tank and WOW!!!! was he happy. He swam around strutting his stuff and did not hesitate to nip at the rock when I was holding it.
Also they can be hand fed.
He feasted on the live rock, and will nip at your feather duster.
They are not reef safe but are genraly peaceful little dudes. They can hold there own if provoked but usulay leaves others alone. Mine has never caused any problems. They love Micses shrimp. Al 30 gallon will be ok because they do not get long in lenght but do get fat / wide.
Mine has green eyes and is always begging when he sees me by the tank.
Do you have a picture of yours?

If you don't already have the fish I would go for the Mimic Filefish which looks almost identical (IMO they are prettier than their puffer counterparts) and are extremely docile and mostly reef safe. Anyway, just my take but good luck with whatever you decide. BTW, hope you know the Scooter will only eat live foods as they are in the same family as the Mandarin Dragonettes. Anyway, hope this helps.
