I get so many different answers when it comes to who gets along with who. I have a great LFS and they have never steered me wrong. My tank is 72 gallons. I have a maroon clown, coral beauty, bird wrasse and a yellow tang. I recently purchased a Picasso Trigger since my LFS said it was compatible. Everything I have read on the internet says these fish are terrors. Does anyone have some positive feedback on keeping these together? I really love the Picasso and if I need to part with one of the other fishes that is fine.

i had a picasso and it tryed ate everything i put in there (except for the damsels but they were in there first). A LFS specialist said a lawnmower blenny would be fine with it if i moved the rocks around and stuff, but that had no effect what so ever. my picasso was only 3" but he was visious went for my fingers too. but now he is gone :D happiest thing ever. i dont know about your fish but i wish you the best of luck with your tank

Well I havent heard of them being overly aggressive. I have a Bursa , real similar fish and its not aggressive towards tankmates at all. I dont think there are any fish' u can buy that will kill a damsel, I put one in my tank solely to get eaten cause its so damn mean and nothing will touch it, not even the shark. I think as long as u add the trigger to a tank that already has acclimated tank mates, he should be ok.

In my history with tanks in days past I had a Huma Huma trigger which every picture of a picasso I see looks the same.
Both of them never bothered their tankmates much, they were put in with an angel, a lion fish, and a blue tang.
The only thing I had a problem with was after several years of happy life together the lion and the trigger went for the same goldfish at the same time and the trigger got half eaten (and spit out) but died a few days later.
That was after 4 years of keeping them together. It was a sad day :( My poor pablo.
We have a Picasso (Humu Humu) in a 180 with a Niger Trigger, Blue Jaw Trigger, Blonde Naso Tang, pair of Gold Banded Maroon Clowns, Flame Hawk, and Blue Damsel. The Picasso is a great tank mate. Haven't had a problem with him at all, but he is the smallest of the Triggers and about the same size as the female GBM (she's a big one). Pablo (obvious name right?) is very curious and comes right up to my hand when I am cleaning the tank. I can't wait for him to get full grown, he should be an awesome looking fish.

I had a picasso trigger for many years and he was great. Kept him with a Sailfin tang, yellow tang, and lion. He got up to about 7 inches long in his many years and the bigger he got it seemed the friendlier he was. Maybe it was just because I was holding the food.
On the contrary, in my 45 gallon tank I have a ocellaris clown that will attack my the second my hand goes in the tank. And he is only about 1.5 inches. Now that's one vicious fish I would watch out for!
