Hello everyone, thanks for all your knowledge, I have learned a lot from this site. I have a 180 gal glass tank setup about 3 months ago, everything is doing fine. But now I want to add in a Refugium along with the sump in a 60 gal. Is it ok to add in the middle like this? What do I need to do to prevent any crash? Thanks again. :)

You can safely add the fuge into your setup, its not a problem. Is this going to be a straight fuge or a combo unit replacing your current filtration setup? Any live rock in the fuge will have to cured though, and some live sand will halp make sure its stable as well. Seed it good with your macro as well. I would not use any southdown in the fuge though since your adding this into a tank thats already up and running.

What a southdown?
Im adding my Ref to my two year old tank is there anything I should know as well to make make shore that there is no crashes?
Also With the Pods, if you set a Ref Wet Dry wont they get caught in the Filter pad and not be able to get back into your tank?

if you haven't already found the answer, Southdown is a silica free playsand. It's sold at many Home Depots, but not in all areas. It is also sometimes labeled as "Old Castle" play sand. A cheap alternative for substrate.
