Yup. I've posted a thread on RC quite a bit, as well as got some people through some fish chats. I would say I told 30+ people, maybe more, maybe less, depending on how many people actually listen to me

Sadly, I have not told anyone about this site. Mostly because I have no one else to tell and I think that it would be kind of disrespectful of me to join another board just to promote this site.
yeah, you have no fish friends?

No fish friends . I do have a friend who has a brackish tank with a couple of columbian sharks and some mollys (mollies?), but he switched it over to freshwater a while back. (I didn't know it, but a lot of brackish water fish can apparently go either saltwater or freshwater.) So whenever I talk about anything saltwater it's over his head. That's what makes reeflounge so great .

So it is!

I too have nobody to talk to about SW aquariums. My gf thinks that I am a fanatic, and I attempted to tell my LFS owner about it but he didn't seem to care much.

LOL Thorkot. Most don't seem to care at all, they just want to sell their products. And I know what you mean with people thinking you are a fanatic, everyone that I try and talk to about saltwater thinks I'm nuts.

Yeah, I am in the same situation. I don't know anyone who really even cares for fish period, much less salt water aquaria. I have to drive an hour just to find any decent salt water fish or inverts....that be one reason it is taking me so long to 'cycle' a tank. :(

Lahatiel, why don't you check out online fish stores?
www.ffexpress.com
www.liveaquaria.com
Just two off the top of my head.
P.S. Where is your username from? It sounds familiar.

Lahatiel was the name of an Angel of Punishment (I seen it in a book once). I have used it for over 5 years now mainly in online gaming. I used to play a lot of MechWarrior 3, 4 and Ghost Recon.

on PC or Xbox too?

They are all PC games besides Ghost recon.
Ghost recon eats on Xbox. MechAssault goes off!!

Just on PC....I do have a ps2, but online with PC only.
MechAssault looks good on the X, but it is just too dumbed down for my tastes. Not enough you can modify with it like you can in the pc version.

True true but really good gameplay for a controller type driven game.

I am never around when a delivery is made and don't like the idea of a fish baking in the sun on the front porch, or LR getting freezer burn in the winter. :|

MA is solid for a console...and GR is fun to play...but i can understand your view from a full PC version.

Yeah depending on your PC's guts it all becomes better on PC.

i just like the simplicity that microsoft and xbox have sought after to bring together a whole community of playes that would not normally play such games...
take me for instance, i've never played a tom clancy game...and now i'm hooked because of GR on the xbox... (i always knew clancy games were out there...i just never wanted to get involvved...too late for that...)

Wait till you see Ravenshield (Tom Clancy). I don't think it will be near a console for a while, but a awesome looking game. It will blow away GR and Sum of All Fears.

Plus who knows how long a fish can survive in a small bag of water? My guess is probably not long enough.

It depends on what you're using to bag the fish. If you're using pure oxygen, the fish can last up to around 24hrs. If using regular air, then around 6 hours max. Most places have small heater packs to make sure livestock stays warm.
But, as everyone else meantioned, I hate the thought of having the fish sitting out ther baking in the sun (Or the snow, depending on where you live [Don't forget rain!]) :|

I don't know of anyone in my area that keeps even a fresh water tank. The only people (besides here) that I talk with about fish is at my LFS.
Heck, I live ONLY 2 MILES FROM SCOTT GIBBONS a Moderator on this forum, and the two of us are so busy we have never met!
Bottom line, the only person I have told about this site is my soon to be wife, and that was just because she thought I was chatting with somebody online!
