I have a 55 gallon FOWLR (80lbs) and I'm hoping to add 1 more inhabitant. I currently have 5 fish (2 false percs, 1 Royal Gramma, 1 neon Goby, and 1 Scooter Blenny), 3 shrimp (2 peppermint and 1 skunk cleaner), 6 blue legged hermits and 10 turbo snails. All inhabitants are getting along well. I would like add one last fish (a center piece/eye catcher) and I'm thinking about a Dwarf Angel. Two questions - first do you think my bio load should be able to handle it and secondly do you like the choice of a dwarf angel or would you recommend something else. Comments appreciated!

I think you'll be ok adding another fish. I personally love the dwarf angels, so I think that will be an excellent choice.

thanks for your opinion Cafetao - they are spectacular fish and from what I've read they should get along with the other fish. My only longer term concern is eventually (another year) I'd like to try some corals and it sounds like the Dwarf angels can nip and some types of corals. I think I'll be ok as long as I'm wise in what I choose to add from a coral perspective.

I just got a flame angel last week, he is awesome, friendly, eats well, always roaming the tank. Beautiful fish. How do you like that gramma? Mine is my fav fish.

I am anti-grammers :) but I like the dwarf angel idea! Flame would be a nice selection - getting a little common tho :( but I still want 1!

Beeing common doesn't mean it's not beautiful.
