Noisy Overflow

Dose anyone know how to silence an overflow

I have an Ameriquil

Is the noise the sound of the water falling into the intank portion of the overflow or the sound of the water gurlgling as it goes down the drain line of the overflow?

If its from the drain line you can try to some airline tubing and slowly lower it down the drain line until the noise stops. Once its in place at the spot that makes the overflow run silent then tape the airline tubing so it does not fall further down.

This allows the overflow drain line to breath via the airhose vs having to gurgle.

Adding a second U tube can also help quite down a noisey overflow.
