What HM Balast are you using?

I was just wondering what Metal Halide Ballasts people were using?
Magnetic, Electric, Mogul, Double Ended, HQI, Singal, Dual?

I am using a PFO standard ballast(?) it is a 2-250 watt similar to the one pictured just a double not a single.

I'm currently using a Dual Standard PFO ballast, housing 2, 250wt Iwsaki MH bulbs. If you would like to know my complete setup, I have:
Dual Standard PFO ballast, 2, 24" PFO reflectors with sockets and quick disconnects with 2, 250wt Iwasaki bulbs. 4, 65wt PC's mount right in here with this setup.

Nice I was thinking of doing a similar setup with dual 150W or 70w 10,000K HQI Double Ended -Aqualine AB and 4 x 55w 03 PC's. But HQI's Need UV Glass? So still working out details.

With two of these reflectors?

Have you thought about using VHO's rather than the compacts.I had 4-55watt actinics over my 75g I nerver liked the color.The VHO's were much better just my opion.

But it sounds like a great set-up.What size tank are you going to put this set-up on?

I am using hellolights.com PC 03 and I love the color and intenisity!!
IT a 72 gallon Bow front with 4 x 55 PC right now I was thinking of adding two more 55w PC or two 70w or 150W HQI to it! I'am very happy with the PC's just wanted to give a little boost.

Just tested a 70w HQI Pendent on my 90 and it looks nice with the PC's!!!
Here's the idea
2 55w 03 PC's
2 55w 50/50 PC's
2 70W HQI 10K's

360W Total 5w per Gallon

Don't want anything crazy

Sounds good John! Although I (JMO!) would go with the 2, 150wt HQI Pendents, with the PC lighting. This would give you 520wts of lighting, instead of 360wts.
