What is a flame war?
A "Flame War" as some might call it, would be lets say an argument, where people are extremely mad at eachother, insult eachother, or bash them, etc. It's not good at all. Lemme see if I can find a link for ya.

I heard about it on RC also. On a side note, flame wars usually don't accomplish anything but bruised ego's. Don't get me wrong I like a good debate (I've learned alot tagging along on some threads like this) but when people are reduced to insults and name calling it takes away from the learning aspect of the boards. RC has some pretty touchy members that feel that their way is the only way which is why I don't post much there. It's ashamed too, because there is sooooo much knowledge on that board. But I guess w/ knowledge comes ego's (in some cases).

I think I read about this board either on thereeftank.com, or reefland.com. I very rarely spend much time on reef central. Too much bickering, bs and egos. No such problem here, so I think I'll hang here for a spell..... :D :wink:
