* grey cloudy slime on body and white dots on fins

Okay This is my first post since I am brand new to forums and posting. Long story but about two weeks ago I bought a Cowfish and put him in the tank with my yellow tang, 10 damsels, snowflake eel. After a few hours after really looking at him I could see white dots on his body. I called LFS they said might be ich ...I could treat it with Marine Kent's RX.P so after two days of treatment the tank got REALLY bad .....yellow tang died with what looks like blood patch on both sides of him like you could see his insides....the cow fish had these red bulging bumps at the base of his two back fins....called LFS they said its not ich but Brookynella........They wanted me to remove the piece of live rock with the mushrooms , the anenome and the 5 mexican turbo snaisl and put them in the quartime since my whoel tank would already have the parasite..... so I did that (they are not happy) then Istarted dosing with Formailin and Hex-A-Mit which is killing me treating about 100 gallons....Anyways the tank is so bad...the only fish I have left are two damsels and my eel and Stars & stripes puffer. After a week of this treatment he is only getting worse each day and now I am freaking out because he has stopped eating today which is horrible since he has been eating up to this point and is the big bully in the tank. For the last ten hours he has just layed on the bottom of the tank breathing ...no fin movemnet which I assume is horrible for a puffer whos fin go really fast. He has a puffy grey cloudy slim eall over his body and a haze over his eyes...cloudy fins that have turned a lime green still with little dots on all the fins............Anybody know anything I can do...this medicine is not working as far as I know.

Last question......if I were to lose all my fish could I add th emushroom, live rock, anenome, and snails back to the tank and leave the tank fishless for teh next 6 weeks to make sure the life cycle of whatever parasite is completly killed off or would any of the things i listed be a host for this parasite also.

I looked at your pictures, and that is EXACTLY the same disease that my tank had, or could still have. I have been trying to diagnose it in this post (http://www.reeflounge.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3412). It seemed to me that the specs were way to small to be ich and I figured it to be Oodineum but am still unsure.

I can not find a better treatment for Ick than Garlic. You need to get some Kyolic Garlic extract. I add it to my Food, which i Use Mysis Shrimp.
I usually place the shrimp in a cup and add the garlic too it, it is best to
make up more than needed and keep in the Refrigerator. You need to
let the mixture soak overnight, if you make up more than needed you
will always have some to feed. I have had great luck using this treatment.
The fish will go crazy for the Garlic, It is like catnip to Fish. Try it you
will be surprised.

It does look like a bad ich infection. The spots will probably get larger as they mature. The best treatment for ich is hyposalinity.
