Hey Zack,
head that way to college soon
Not sure what you mean.....
My parents and girlfriend don't really like that I spend so much money on my aquarium. But I think it's worth every penny. As for the snakes...People like them cause they are friendly you they can hold them.

I play MMORPG's, enjoy making things (although money rarely lets me make any neato stuff, still want to make myself a hovercraft), and enjoy reading fantasy books. Well there is also my tanks but i figured that went without saying  .

Between work, my wife, and my tanks I don't have any time/money to take up another hobby. Although as much time as I spend on this computer researching reef stuff, I guess it could also be a hobby.

Besides doing the reef thang, I'm also a USAC sprint and champ car crew chief. This year, I maintained 4 different cars, sometimes 3 in the same night. And I thought keeping up with 3 tanks kept me busy...... :)
Bartman, whats the coolest thing you've ever made???
Besides reefkeeping I've started my own business which is taking up most of my time lately and I play on a local ice hockey team. You can check out our web site at...

No, not much ice hockey going on outside around here. There is quite a few rinks around here now. I can think of 5 rinks I can get to within 45 minutes of my house.

I enjoy more hobbies than I have time for.I love working out side and landscaping, water gardens and waterfalls really do it to me! I also enjoy sketching and working in clay. I also keep african lake fish and orandas and an occassional bird(a sparrow with an injured wing this time). If only I didn't have to work for a living what a list I would have!

I must be getting old then because that car scared the stuffing out of me. Plus I didnt build it and had very little confidance in the person that did. I would much rather go fast in something with a roll cage and a five point harness. There is no greater thrill than lifting the front tires 18 inches when you leave the line.

i hear that!!! (but near impossible in front-wheel drive jap cars...lol!!!) the day i see that happen on a honda, is the day i'll go out and buy one!

You should see some of the cars that people use an s-10 frame that has been shortened with an import body on it. Very strange looking with big fat slicks under the back. They use those bodies because they are light.
phistio
11-26-2002, 11:36 AM
actually, in front-wheel drive cars, the fat slicks are up front...
what's crazy is that some of these cars are capable of mid-six second passes...those are quick E.T's...and these a four-bangers!
to put that into perstpective, that's better than 120mph, in 1/4 of a mile!

There are lots of great places to go snorkeling along the upper gulf coast, one of the best places near me is Surfside beach near Freeport Texas, The greenwater is common on the beach here and I've even caught damselfish in the sargassum weed that floats in to the beach. Another great place is at Padre Island, but its a lot farther drive and is usually reserved for spring break and special ocasions due to the 12 hour drive time as compared to 2 hours to surfside! Another great place here are the freshwater lakes of Toledo Bend Reservoir and Sam Rayburn Lakes (both about 2 hour drive)! A couple more places that are nice are Medina lake and Canyon Lake both near San Antonio All of these lakes have loads of sandy beaches where you can walk out to over your head before you encounter the weed lines which is where you get to see all the panfish, bass, and catfish patrolling. I love to watch the bluegill when they are on the spawning beds in the spring, they get fiesty and are downright fun to watch as they try and keep other fish out of their nests!

I used to do some diving in a rock Quarry that had filled up with water in Alabama, the water is very clear (70 foot visibilty). We would take a can of squeeze cheese that you can buy at the grocery store to put on crackers, and spray it under the water, the fish would swarm all over you to get it. It is neat to see.
