I agree about their web site. I have not purchased there, but I was just looking through the site and found some corals that I would like to get as well, so I too would like to hear any comments about purchasing from this site.

AQUACON.COM! We ordered over $500 worth of livestock. Received the goods the next day, One dead firefish, one dead yellow leather, one dead emerald crab and a blenny died the next day. The hard corals were pathetic. We bought mediums and larges and the had to be all smalls. We ordered a knobby sea cucumber that wasnt in the shipment. I called to tell them no cucumber and the manager partially agreed that our account should be credited. They never had them to begin with...they didnt call to tell us but they sure charged us. I finally got the owner on the phone and told her the manager was an $#% and was rude with our basic questions when we placed our order. I will never do business with them again. Sometimes this is the best way to get your message across to the world.
hmmmmmm

I live about 10 minutes from their showroom... Not impressed with their fish stock. They usually have the best live rock in the area, and have some amazing display tanks! They always have dead and dying fish in their stock tanks, and their invert tanks are full of cyano. Don't think I'd ever get any livestock from them. I don't know if they are online, but there is a store in West Palm Beach that I visited yesterday, and was extremely impressed. Great selection, some cheap prices (I got 2 haitian orange riccordeas (one on a small rock, one not) for $7. Any other store down here would have been 25-30. When the one on the rock began to open, I noticed it had 3 mouths! Yes, it's about to split. It's called Coral Sea. Some beautiful displays, gorgeous corals, and some neat stuff I've never seen before. They had a fish that looked a lot like a saltwater plecostamus, but it only eats live food.

I used them And when i got my order it was missing like a quarter of the items. And to top it off the box it came in said "F%CK YOU" on the inside and they were right because they sure did. Do yourself a favor never use aquacon and tell a friend.

thanks for the tip, bro. I think I may get this sorted out yet. It'z been since Oct.2005 and I just hate the thought of giving in even though this may not be worth it. I'll do a post here at the conclusion. I just sent a letter and I hope ...-rb
ps: I'm so stupid. I checked up on aquacon after I had ordered. I have never seen so much terrible ink on anything. Jeez louise.

I hate to hear of things like this. You can try filing a complaint on the Federal Trade Commission...
http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/consumer.htm
I have to say that, although most Federal agencies are slow to respond, the FTC is very quick. They require that any company who a Complaint is filed against, respond to the Complaint within 30 days, otherwise they will be fined and can lose their license to do business completely.
Most of the time, the company will just refund your money in full, to prevent further action from the FTC. And to make things better, the FTC will mediate the discussion over settling the matter, so if you are not satisfied with the company's response, the FTC will step in to negotiate your side.

Just want to add my warning to anyone thinking about doing business with Aquacon.com: DON'T!!!
They sent me the wrong fish! and wouldn't even consider the possibility that they could have made a mistake. They sent me "blue-green chromis" instead of "blue reef chromis," and told me the color difference was merely a matter of stress. They are very unfriendly in their customer service, and charge an arm and a leg for packaging to boot.
Sure wish I'd checked this forum before I ordered from them. I'm way too trusting!
