Does any one use there lights on 220?
I wish I had setup a 220 line for my tank!!
I know the the power company charges you on how much power you use not how many volts. So if you have a 120v light that pulls 2.0 amps of power a 220v will only pull 1.0 amps of power.Has any one found this to be true?

I use 220V/240V on my tank, but im in australia so thats all we have to work with, there was a post by IceCap in RC awhile ago about 220V being able to work their ballasts better that 110V..Not sure how voltage makes a difference. Its wattage, CRI, LUX ect that make the difference.

in the long run drawing 1amp is going to be cheaper that 2amps, however, u will need buy the ballasts in 220V or a Converter pack ( travel shops sell these )
