The titanium heater are great but if anything can break or go wrong I am the man for the job!

I bought one of the submersable heaters and put it behind my live rock since I dont have a sump at some point a rock fell and pushed the rubber cap on the end of it back. This caused voltage to leak into the tank killing all my snails and crabs I attemped to keep.Only when all else failed and I was removing all the live rock, to see if I could find a Mantis Shrimp did I discover the problem.

Moral of the story --- I can break anything.

That's terrible... I'll keep an eye on my titanium heater.

I bought one with a controller and what a difference from those cheap glass tubes! Dials right in to plus-or-minus one degree and keeps my fish at the perfect temperature. One of the best accessories that I ever bought for my tank.

If you have a small tank like i do place the heater horizontally near the top of the tank. Yes you will see it but it won't break.
