Here is my Mantis Shrimp. He is unwelcome in my tank, but still small enough to not be a problem. He is 3/4" long in total.

Cool pic. If you are looking for a way to get rid of him take a 2L bottle and cut the top off. invert the top, and stuff it back into the bottle and burry it partially into the sand. place some shrimp of something in the bottle. The mantis will be able to enter the bottle, but they can not swim up to get back out of it. If this does not make any sense, let me know and Ill draw a pic.

Just a side note,
We have a nice little mantis shrimp in our tank. We love him. Even have him trained to ask for food. We feed him shrimp with either tweezers or chop sticks. When he is really hungry, he comes out and snaps until we feed him.
We love our mantis shrimp. Hand feed yours and you may come to love yours too :-)

Your kidding about the hand feeding part right??
no, they really like to be hand fed, and if your not careful they'll feed on your hand. lol

Hand feeding without the hands, ST. ;)
wouldn't it be better to get rid of the shrimp before he becomes a problem?
