They pulse like mad ! I couldn't believe how much they pulsed because i had never seen one in person before i got mine ( No lfs in my city carry corals , well they try to but they all die, like the flowerpot coral they thought they could keep under 2 NO bulbs what a waste of 175$ when there was only a few polyps left on it i offered them 50$ for it but they declined, then it died shortly after)
I find it pulses alot more on fridays after i supplement with phytoplanton and reef plus.

you might as well have taken a lighter to that fifty...I worked in an lfs and have seen many gonipora die...good water good lights, bad water bad lights and any combination of the above, never seemed to matter they just dont do well in the aquarium. (there are always exceptions of course, do a search on gonipora in the forums you will see) Real nice xenia though congrats!

Yeah they don't seem to do too well at all do they, is it the lighting that they lack or what ?

From what I've read its just not known what they require to thrive.... they grow in lagoons where the water is turbid (relatively) and light levels are high. I've heard that the ultra clean water that we reefers strive for dosent suit them, also target feeding is necessary. i have heard that some people have success but as a rule.. don't buy em. too bad too cuz they're cool. Oh and BTW.. everyone pulses more on firdays:)

Really, thats cool, i was going to order 5 different types of zoo's and stock my 10 gal i thought it would look cool, actually i'll probably put them under my MH in my 50 so they grow faster and move the frags over to the ten
