fish is tough

My blue tang has had ich for about a month. I started using kick-ich and I didn't notice much of a change in it until about 5 days into the treatment. The spots started to disappear. It also has some rotted fins under it and on its tail. It had a some spots that looked like salt around his eye also.

It looked better until this morning. It looks like the white spots are back. It still swims and eats well. Advice needed.

You actually need to fight this on two fronts now. The tang has most likely developed a secondary infection from the parasites and will need treating with a gram negative anti biotic. You must use it in a QT tank in order not to destroy the bio filter in the main tank.

While it's in the QT you should also treat with either copper or hyposalinity for the ich. Keep tabs on any other fish as well. The best course of action is to QT all the fish and treat for ich. Then leave the main tank fallow for 4 weeks to allow the parasite to die off.
