I am trying to learn how to use this camera, these are my best macro shots I have done thus far. I think the camera/myself could do much better. I cant seem to get the coloring right. comments/criticisms appreciated.

not bad...but I would highly suggest getting a photo editor so you can decrease the file sizes!
Those pics are HUGE in file size. I have broadband and they loaded REALLY slow for me which NEVER happens unless something is HUGE or the server where it it located is SLOW. :)

Try adjusting your white balance.
Make sure, to adjust it properly....you use something that is pure white in the lighting conditions where you are taking your photos.
-or-
Just adjust it until the viewfinder's color matches your eye's color the most.
That should help with your color. Also, when ever possible, use the flash. It helps. You can always turn the power back on the flash of higher line cameras (yours too of course) so you don't over power your subject with too much light too close. You can also cover your flash with filters to lower the light even more or to remove certain polarizations of the flash's light.
Hope that helps some...the only way to really learn how to use a camera is to take it...use it like all hell and just experiment!
That is the beauty of Digital...no film processing!

I play around with my white balance alot i'm still not that happy wiht the quality, i have a awesome nikon camera that i spent like 1500 on ( through and insurance claim ) it takes amazing pics andmy digital can't seem to touch it, also it has no optical zoom and i really regret skimping on that for my digital camera.... aw well
