Greetings from www.Reeflounge.com !

Hello, it has been a while since we have sent out our last newsletter; and my how time flies! I never would have thought that we would have grown to the point that we have in such little time. Our users have posted a total of 29,789 articles and we have 1,838 registered users. That number grows everyday as new people become members thanks to the contributing support by all members. Let’s encourage them to continue to grow with us! Thanks to all for helping spread the word about our site!

It’s so encouraging to see a thriving reef forum. As I log in everyday, I’m delighted by the amount of knowledge, and participation. I have become well acquainted with many of you, and some I consider like family! It’s fairly often that I refer to ReefLounge as my second “home”. Best of all, it’s great to be a part of a forum “by hobbyists, for hobbyists.” It is our passion, and we all (including members) put our heart’s dedication back into the site. By the fruits of everyone’s labors, ReefLounge has become an awesome site!!!

We have a couple of updates that we would like you to know about:

1) By popular request, we decided to make a photography section. Not only can you submit your favorite reef pictures, but we also encourage you to post any of your favorite pictures. Whether it’s from this summer’s vacation, or the sunset from you backyard; we want to see your creative images! And best of all, images can be uploaded right from your desktop! Web pictures should be optimized at 72 dpi, and no wider than 580 pixels (eight inches) and no larger than 200kbs. Please adhere to the guidelines for uploading pictures, so that all may enjoy. To see the new photo section, click on the link here: http://www.reeflounge.com/forum/index.php?c=9 . If you need any help posting or resizing any images, feel free to private message or email any of the staff. We’re more than happy to help! J

2) Our anniversary is right around the corner, and you can count on special contests and giveaways taking place. More details to come in the future!!! Keep visiting for details.

3) Reeflounge.com Chat Room is back online: http://www.reeflounge.com/chat
You will be able to login and chat with some of our members and moderators.
We hope this will help some members get answers faster or just discuss any new topics.

4) ReefLounge.com Auctions are up Running! We have some members and sponsors that have donated some items for us to auction off. You will be able to see the items at http://www.reeflounge.com/auction . Register today and bid on some great items. Members are welcome to add their own items that they may have to the auction site. There are no fees to list or bid on an item. It’s absolutely FREE!!! So you can sell that extra ballast sitting in the garage. Or whatever other aquaria related items you may have you may have to sell. We do ask that you complete any auction you start, as well as complete any auction you bid on. Thanks to all the people that bid on our items that we’ve had up for auction from sponsors and members.

5) We have added many new links to the Links Page:

http://www.reeflounge.com/forum/links.php . We ask that you check them out and post any that you feel that would benefit our members.

6) Voting on www.AquaRank.com . We ask if every member can vote for our site on
AquaRank when the get the chance. They reset the stats every Sunday, so if you could all vote once a week, that would be great. It helps us get new members and only takes a couple seconds for you to do. For information on how to vote, please check out this post:

http://www.reeflounge.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26

Thank you for your votes!!!

7) Donations: We have added a link to a PayPal donations page. You can donate any amount you like. As little as $1.00, $10.00, or what ever amount you would like to contribute. Really any amount helps us keep the site running. We would like to thank the members who have already donated, and invite the rest of you to contribute if you desire.
Here is the link if you’d like to donate:

Another way www.Reeflounge.com benefits is by making online reef purchases at one of our sponsor’s sites:

8) Vendors Lounge Forum. We ask that any member that has bought anything from an online or offline vendor, share their experience with our members in this forum. It will help all of us if we have as much information about a vendor before we purchase. Stop by this forum:

http://www.reeflounge.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=23

And post a review of your favorite vendor or most recent purchase.
We receive a percentage of each sale we send them. Let us know about your experiences with currently listed vendors, or ones that you’ve recently purchased from. The Vendor’s Lounge is our way of communicating with each other about great deals, great service, or even bad experiences. If any member (including sponsor members) know of, or has any other offer that they would like to offer others, stop by here and post your offer:

In closing, if you would like to suggest anything or see any other topics added to the forums, please send any of us an email as we’ll consider your recommendation. I hope that you all enjoy the site and continue to spread the word and visit our site often. See you online.

Until then, Happy Reefing! :)

Sincerely,

--Phistio (Ryan T.), and the entire ReefLounge Staff at www.ReefLounge.com
