Here are some misc shots of my nano. Not in the best of shape right now because I just moved, and the camera is a cheesy kodac something or other... but still some nice shots :D Enjoy!

I don't know which picture your asking about, but I think you're looking at the pink tongue coral. :D

nanoman123,

Those are my mushrooms. I bought a little rock with 3 mushrooms on it, the size of a quarter each. Now, There are about 6 on the rock, and each one is about the size of softball. I still don't have a clear identification on what species they are. They're very hardy though, because when I first got the tongue coral, the mushrooms feel on top of it and I thought for sure they were gonner. But they bounced right back!!

Here's another picture of them.

Irisservice,

Thanks! I am spoiled after going to Splash of Life. I always want to see tanks from the top now. Sometimes, I feel it's a better vantage point for viewing, especially for the clam!

You can do a top shot the cheap way by taking a thick, well made ziplock bag and placing it over the lense and pulling it tight...then just insert the lense just enought into the water to go under the surface. Then...vawala...you have yourself a "underwater" camera.

Good tip fiji, never thought of that. Might try it sometime but when my mom isn't here since it's her digi cam.

Vixen, nice pics. Clam looks like it's in good shape, also your clowns colors are very brillant and stand out. Very orange, the way I like um

Be sure to use the freezer bags! They're thicker.

Very nice shots! The clams look very healthy!

As far as the "underwater camera" goes, you could grab a large scuba mask, float it on top of the water and shoot through it. It will take the glare from the lighting. The bag also works, although you may want to try a test "Test tries" with another object just in case the bag leaks.
