Enough with the tangs, i'm sure he knows its not the optimal tank size, no need to get on his case about it.

well, then taht changes everything. as long as hes healthy and happy, then its good. the reason that you keep tangs in bigger tanks, is so that they stay happy/healthy. but if yours is happy/healthy in your tank, then hes fine i guess :D

You've had him for 2 years, thats awesome i've only had mine for a few months, they don't grow very fast, he eats alot of lettuce tho
He also hasnt grown any in about a year that is why I think that he must have been the runt of the litter. His color is really vibrent

Yeah ,
I wish they could breed them then they could selectivly breed smaller ones that only got 4 inches or so that would be awesome !

the tang hasnt grownm much due to the small enviro. basicaslly what you have done is put a rubber band on his maturing. you have slowed the growth for starters. soon the color will fade and eventually the fish might die. either way no one can ever be sure the fish is happy and healthy, simple cause we arent the fish. either way makes me sad your keeping him in such a small tank. the reasont angs are kept in bigger tanks is so we can replicate there natural enviro the best we can. they live on the top and outter sections of reefs due to the wide open cruising room. fish tanks are small enough to start with but that tank is like putting you in a dog cageand letting your grow in it from a baby. he should be at least 3 -4 in by now at 2 years old an bigger if you didnt get him at birth. if fed well and taken care of propperly tangs very full adult maturity with in a few years. yours will be lucky to make half of his mature size and physical traits. i agree with nano and i really dont think he should have to apologize for it. opions are like a-holes we all have one :) jus some have to learn to accept it and take the good with the bad. either way jus thought id voice my 2 cents as i plan to take up the tang police with others on here, while keeping it at an educational level. critics are fine as long as they give a reason and a possible correction or 2 imo.
thanks justin
