nice! i got a question, my shroom was hanging by a thread on my rock, so i took it off and put it somewhere else. but after i took him off, all this white debrees flew everywhere. about an hour later, i fed him. i put him in a stable place with no current and a good ammount of light to get settled. will he be ok?

Yes it will be alright but i advise you should never remove a coral from its base rock unless totally needed. Like in your case thats ok. The white stuff is probably a little bit of flesh since you had to pull it of the thread. Removing a coral can kill it or put it under great amounts of stress. Its like removing an anemone from its spot because you dont like it there. It can damage its foot and harm it greatly. Good luck!

Shrooms are real hardy. It takes alot to kill them. Its all right if you remove them just dont rip them off. Massage them and then get your finger under it s=and gently pulll it off. Just dont remove other corals unless you are fraging them but you need to know what your doing for that.

thats what i did. unfortunatly, the mushroom died about 1 month ago. he crawled into a crevace and got ripped up by the rock, and the rock covered his mouth so he starved. he also turned all white.

Thats cool, i have alot in my 25gal, i just set up my 50 gal about 8 weeks ago and they're is still no livestock in it except for my sun coral. Its nice allready having a tank so you can just move stuff from one tank to another. I haven't had alot of time to take any pics of my tank, because i've been doing my university class all week, and workin on the weekends, which is where i'm headin now so maybe i'll take some new pics tonight. Its also hard to get a pic when my sun coral is open too.

I know they're great aren't they, i can't wait till my polyps get bigger, i've seen some real nice ones so i hope mine will look like some others i've seen with really long tentacles.
