Looking to buy a large tank.

Where can I get a good price on a large tank? Looking to get at least a 60 gallon tank.

ebay can be a great source for larger tanks at a substantially much lower price...only with that lower price comes the "buyer beware" clause...

if you're patient though, you can find a great tank off ebay, from someone in your area...(easier to pick up a tank that large.) and ebay will protect your purchase upto $200.00 if anything where to happen. also, i'd suggest if you purchase from a buyer through ebay, use your credit card through paypal, or some other direct point-to-point association. this not only protects you from fraudulent charges, but also, if you buy with a credit card, most companies will completely insure your satisfaction of the purchase. meaning, if you buy some thing in "good faith" (let's say a large fish tank) and you set it up, and realize it's broken (now 60 gallons of water all over your wifes' new burbur carpet...that she brags to all of her friends ablout...until now)...no worries, your credit card company, in most cases, will re-imburse you...in "good faith" of course!

i highly encourage you to look at tanks being sold off ebay. most reasons for selling is matter of ease like: "we're moving, far away"...and the seller is willing to help tear down, transport, and even some cases, help you set back up at your house. as well, sometimes it can include the very items you may want , or need...i.e. a protein skimmer or lights or live rock...things that would cost much more if you were to purchase them after the fact. take a look, you never know!!!
