These people sell an RO/DI system on e-bay for less than 100 bucks. Has anyone purchased it and if so, how is the product?
(I have seen some posts cautioning against RODI systems on eBay, but none have mentioned the specific vendor to avoid.)
To see their product desc, go here http://www.stores.ebay.com/id=70548722 and scroll down to one of the "Aqua 75 REEF reverse osmosis" listings.
(They also have a web site www.aquasafecanada.com, but it has less detail than their auction listing.)

I should add that it is a 6-stage unit, with a 75gpd membrane. I am really not sure what to be looking for, but the price seems too good to be true.
I do notice a chrome plated brass check valve -- isn't brass a no-no?

I have the RO unit from them, and have NO problems with it so far, (been a whole two months ehehehe).
Seriously it seems to be well made, a person i work with just bought a ro/di from them and the only complaint she had was you can't see the DI filter as the cover is white not clear.
I am even on a well with lower then most city water pressure and i still get decent water flow from the RO unit.
I will post updates as time allows, but i have nothing to say but good so far, the directions were very well done (i hooked up mine and the friend from work).
BTW my well water tested at 75ppm before the RO now its under 10.
Good luck!

I have a 100 gpd unit from them and haven't had any problems. I've only had it for 3 months and the filters need changed already because the city water here is so bad. The only thing I regret is not getting one with more output. 100 gpd isn't enough for me. I would look at the one John (the post above) has. I looked at one there that is 200 gpd. I should have purchased that one. I need more flow for the 180 gal f/o tank of mine.
