View Full Version : Clown's
I am a little perplexed  I bought a clown from PC and they said that it was a tomato clown. Now I understand that there are many types of tomato clowns, but I just came back from my LFS and saw a clown in one of their tanks and it was almost identical to my tomato clown but was called a maroon clown.
Can anyone point me to some pics so i can decide what I really have!
Red, white vertical stripes 3, within each fin a black fan like outline.

From the link I think that my clown is a maroon clown not a tomato clown!!! Poorly informed employee I guess.

Happens alot...
I actually noticed that one of the fish that is most commonly mis "labeled" is the fire clown. As a juvenille they have two white stripes. When they get older they lose the second stripe and look like the tomato clowne.

www.fishbase.org may be the most comprehensive site to find and identify fish.

You and me both! :D
I am glad I have it for future reference though, and IMO the address should be archived around here somewhere, if possible.
