I am in the middle of stocking my FOWLR tank and I wanted some advice
about my selection. My current setup is a 55gal with 45lbs of live
rock. Eventually I would like to move to a reef tank but don't have the
money for the lighting right now. Currently I have the following:

2 Percula Clownfish
Scooter Blenny
Cleaner Shrimp
Flame Scallop
Astraea Snails
Blue Leg Hermit Crabs

I would like to add the following:
Flame Angel (I know that caution needs to be taken in a reef tank)
2 Banggai Cardinal's
Bicolor Pseudochromis

Please let me now if you think this would be overstocking. If its not
please give me suggestions on what to add. I do not want to get a Tang
because I have some unexpected plant growth out of one of my live
rocks and I would like to keep it.

Thanks

Actually with the fish you have and the new ones listed above, I think you would be fine but also be aware that it would be the limit of your tanks potential.

I would add the bangaiis, then the angel. Not sure how well the bicolor will do though. They can be somewhat aggressive and may be a little more than "iffy" with the amount of LR you currently have. Once the other three have been properly QT'd and then acclimated over to the main tank, you can make the descision at that time.

Cheers

I have a 330L tank it will be set up in the next 2 weeks, i am having it drilled and adding a sump so the volume of water will increase. I would eventually like to have 1 picasso, 2 common clown, 1 yellow tang, 1 regal tang and a flame angel, 1 cleaner shrimp and clean up crew. Aside from the fact i know what you are going to say about the trigger, is the stocking level ok. Any input greatly appreciated as this is my first marine tank. Thanks.

That can be a bit of a bio load for a tank of that size. Trigger, 2 tangs and an angel? They all create a decent amount of waste. Tangs need plenty of swimming room as well.

I have purchased a skimmer rated for tanks between 125-500G (English gallons) and am using a fluidised bed filter with rowa phos absorber to keep phosphates and silicates low. I have an eco aqualizer which is said to help increse bio filtration within a tank by upto 300%.My tanks front is 54 inches accross, I have seen tangs in smaller tanks than this. I may be wrong.
